and it's finals week. again. i feel as if the semesters seem to pass faster and faster each time. that's definitely a good thing. until finals week, that is. not only do i get the pleasure of taking three exams, writing papers, and stressing over each of these, i also get the added bonus of moving from my riverside apartment back to home (fresno), but only for a couple of weeks. come 4 january 2012 i will be living in ohio and freezing my bum off.
i'm not sure how i can honestly think that i will be able to go from "winter" in california to winter in ohio and not lose a couple fingers in the process. the coldest winters i've endured were in walla walla, washington. their winters are nothing to sneeze at, but i've heard horror stories about ohio's cold and, i'll admit, i'm not looking forward to them.
what i am looking forward to is finally starting a nursing program. i've been in school way too long and it's about time i get this show on the road. two years. then donezo with school. my bachelor's completion year will be done online, so i don't count that as a school year.
i'm also looking forward to living with my sister again! she's been out there since august and seems to really enjoy it. we'll be going to the same school but she won't start the nursing program until next fall. we got a tiny studio apartment off campus because they are so darn cheap! it makes me completely rethink living in california after graduation. it will always be home, but unless i get a crazy good job (or jobs) then i'll be looking for the next best thing up north.
i'm for sure staying on the west coast. that means applying in and around seattle, portland, san francisco, santa cruz, and fresno. best coast west coast!
i look forward to being so close to so many amazing cities...it's less than a day's drive to indianapolis, chicago, nashville, cleveland, and cincinnati. and i plan to visit them all. this means bulls games, reds games, blackhawks games, and cubbies games. so excited! and of course, ohio state games. the sister and i are definitely hitting up a football game at THE ohio state.
this break will be much needed, but stressful just the same. i have a lot to do between now and 4 january...
