went to the getty museum in la today for a class assignment. i haven't been here since my senior year in high school. it brought back a lot of memories...memories i had long put away. i'm glad they're there again. they're good memories.
the getty is a beautiful museum that everyone should go visit if given the opportunity. it is nestled in the hills of la. actually, more like nestled on top of the hill, which makes for an amazing view of the city skyline, ocean (on a clear day), and surrounding neighborhoods. it helps me to forget that i'm actually in la for a bit.
we only got to spend a little bit of time there, enough to do my assignment. definitely not enough to experience the whole museum as it should be done. a visit to the getty is a day trip at the least. i plan on making at least one more trip before the big move.
the exhibits were amazing (or what i got to see of them). the fall colors were coming in on all the trees. some usc students were drawing all over the grounds (i'm fascinated with drawing classes). it was nice and warm out. i got to enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the most awesome places in all of la. i got to spend time with the sister who is on fall break and visiting from ohio. all in all it was a great day.
