there's nothing quite like giants baseball on the radio.
nothing.
there's something about the soothing voices of jon miller and dave flemming, play-by-play, as it happens. there's a reason jon miller is the voice of espn's sunday night baseball (the most popular ball game night) telecast. and dave flemming, the youngest active broadcaster, soundin' like the old-timers. and doing it oh so well...
"knbr 680...the...sports...leader."
those words five sum up my childhood days. days of driving in the truck with my dad, listening to the game when we weren't fortunate enough to watch it at home. nights of listening to the giants replay at midnight.
i still fall asleep to the midnight replay. i admit to the obsession.
but it's about more than the giants.
it's about memories. my childhood. nights with my dad that i will never forget. growing up with the team, and not fully understanding what a big part of my life they would soon play.
i understand it now. and i listen just the same as i did. sometimes with my dad. sometimes alone.
but always with a smile on my face and the memories in my mind.
i understand it now...
