after the train ride my family and i had lunch at a little mexican restaurant called morelia's restaurant at the end of main st. we then walked around and went in all the little antique shops and boutiques. main st. has a personality all its own and it is super cute.
the city was actually used in the movie back to the future part III for some of the western scenes, as well as the steam engine sierra no. 3 for the train scenes. considering i love that series, i found it pretty darn awesome that they were filmed in this tiny town in northern california.
the antique shops were my favorite part of the city. they are filled with so much history that i find completely fascinating. i found a neat desk for $90 that i instantly fell in love with. but, being the broke college student i am, i was unable to purchase it. so instead my mom bought me, my sister, and herself a cute hair clip.
